About Course

  •  The purpose of this Unit Standard is to enable Construction Contractors to: Apply Construction Contract documents, apply the legal aspects of disputes, and apply tender and construction drawings. 

Course Content

Session 1 : Apply Construction Contract documents.
1. The purpose and content of the documents are interpreted. 2. Information is accessed. 3. The documents' assistance to the Contractor is understood.

Session 2 : Apply the legal aspects of disputes.
Learning Outcomes 1. Claims are identified and submitted. 2. Disagreements and disputes are lodged and resolved.

Session 3 : Apply the Targeted Procurement Policy documents.
Learning Outcomes 1. Targeted procurement policy documents are understood. 2. Targeted procurement is applied.

Session 4 : Understand and apply Tender and Construction drawings.
Learning Outcomes 1. Drawings are interpreted. 2. Drawings are recognized as forming part of the contract documents.
